Alfredo Sauce

For next time I make alfredo sauce: freshly grated Parmesan is key. I should get one of those planer graters. The time I made alfredo sauce without a recipe is the time that the kids raved about it. I just melted some butter, added cream, garlic powder, freshly grated Parmesan and salt and pepper to taste (maybe some milk too?)
