Pretzels

These are always fun to make. When I made a batch last week I froze them individually to throw in my kids' lunches in the place of chips or store-bought pretzels. They were made with half whole wheat flour and the kids really liked them. I just brush olive oil and sprinkle regular salt on them before baking. They're best right out of the oven, but my kids don't mind them later on when they've lost their perfectly crisp bottom.

Oh, I also only do 16 pretzels, not 18, on 2 cookie sheets.

Have you tried a recipe where you boil the pretzels for a minute or two and then bake them? It makes them chewy and moist. So good. Homemade bagels are really good too. You should give them a try. Have you found any good bread recipes? I really want to try making some new bread recipes. I have a really good bread recipe that is soooo simple, but it's so good. It's an authentic Italian bread recipe. Super moist on the inside, and very crusty on the outside. I can send it to you later if you want to try it.

Here is the link to the bread recipe. It is so easy. You just need a dutch oven or covered casserole dish that can withstand high temperatures. It's super easy and delicious. If you have any questions let me know.
