1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (to soften, about 15 seconds on high)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Stir in these ingredients by hand (according to Betty Crocker):
3 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
If too soft, refrigerate for an hour or two; in a hurry, add a little more flour instead.
Roll and cut out. Bake at 350 for 10-12 mins. Remove immediately from cookie sheet or they'll stick to it.
(Doubled it makes about 5 cookie sheets full).
